The tech world is being rewritten.
We make sure small businesses don’t get left behind.
Tech is moving faster than most people can process — and for small businesses, the ground feels like it’s shifting underneath them. Here’s the why behind TNT Nerds, straight from the founder.
Thanks for pressing play. How did our pitch land?
Appreciate you helping us refine the pitch.
About Act 1: The Landscape
This section frames the why behind TNT Nerds — the tech disruption small businesses are navigating, and our role as a real human team backing them up.
What you can do here
- Press play — a 2½-minute AI-produced promo voicing the founder’s message
- Vote after watching — loved it sends straight to the founder; missed-the-mark opens a 5-star rating
- Business Services — opens the small business hub (confirm before navigating)
- Continue the story — jumps to the promise section below
v21 — both columns paneled, show-artwork, more keyphrases
- Both columns paneled with EQUAL HEIGHT. Grid uses
align-items: stretch+ flex-fill on the panel-frames so back panels take the entire grid-cell space regardless of content. Bootstrap v2.25+ owns the surface-only hover-fade behavior — only the panel’s bg/border fade slightly on hover; content (text, buttons) stays fully visible. - Show Artwork in utility bar — matches Superhero’s pattern. The button sits BELOW the 2-column grid in a no-bg utility bar (not crammed into the CTA cluster). Switches the section’s outer stage stack to
artwork-min, collapsing the content. Click the bottom pill to come back. - Vote tabs react like primary CTA. Each tab gets a per-variant
--tnt-vote-glowCSS var so up = cool glow, down = warm glow. Hover triggerstranslateY(-2px), a colored shadow lift, brightness/saturation tick. The unified-card switched tooverflow:visibleso the lift shadow escapes the card. - Eyebrow expanded to 8 keyphrases — Tech Disruption, Small Business, AI Reality, Real Human Support, Founder’s Mission, Community First, Showing Up, No Big-Box Pricing.
- Universal hover non-dimming — Bootstrap v2.25+ globally prevents any TNT button from dimming on hover (covers
.tnt-info-cta,.tnt-fb__btn,[class*="__cta"],[class*="__btn"]). Buttons useisolation: isolateso ancestor filters don’t cascade. - Admin error fixed. The plugin’s admin menu was throwing “not allowed” for administrators because WordPress was checking custom plugin caps directly instead of going through the cap_map. Now
Permissions::resolve_wp_cap()resolves plugin caps to their underlying WP equivalents at everyadd_menu_page/add_submenu_pageboundary, so admins always get access viamanage_options.
v20 — unified card + polish
- Unified card. The ticker (caption slider) and the vote tabs now live in ONE outer card. The Stage System swaps the top half between idle (rotating captions) and engaged (“Thanks for watching” headline). Vote tabs hang flush at the card’s bottom, persistent across stages.
- CTA Cluster pattern adopted. The CTA row uses Bootstrap v2.24+’s
.tnt-cta-clusterwhich auto-centers any button that wraps onto its own row, and goes full-width on small viewports. - Star-rating row restyled — aggressive defensive selectors target
.tnt-fb__ask:not(:has(.tnt-fb__buttons))to flatten any vertical star stack into a centered horizontal row regardless of the Feedback Engine’s markup. - Vote tabs read as REGULAR pre-play — gate-active no longer dims them. The Pre-Action Gate still intercepts clicks and flashes the “Watch the video first” message; the visual “not ready” treatment was distracting and got removed.
- Armed-state hover dim killed — Bootstrap v2.24+ globally suppresses hover-darkening filters while a confirm-toast is armed, and adds a soft pulse glow to the trigger so it reads as “waiting for your second click.”
v19 — gate + glass + polish
- Vote buttons persist across stages (lifted out of the engaged-stage). Pre-Action Gate (Bootstrap v2.23+) blocks vote clicks before play; in-button text flashes “Watch the video first to vote.”
- Main content wrapped in
.tnt-glass-panelwith a section-side hover affordance (80% opacity) so users can peek at the aurora bg. - Eyebrow tightened to match Superhero spacing.
- Primary CTA shortened — “Explore Small Business Services” → “Business Services”.
- More Info button opens correctly — engine v2.23+ binds info popup to
[data-tnt-info]attribute on any element (was class-gated in v22).
v18 — UX polish + dev slide
- More Info promoted from the marker row to a third CTA in the cluster, matching primary/secondary size.
- Vote buttons restyled as full-bleed bottom tabs of the engaged-card. Theme-aware semantic colors (cool/warm flip for light/dark mode).
- Section version declared via
data-tnt-versionon the section root — the popup auto-renders the badge in the header. - This dev slide. Bootstrap engine v2.22+ now auto-augments every info popup with a “From the Developer” button that slides to a dev-notes view. Sections opt in by adding a
tnt-info-{slug}-devtemplate.
v17 — Bootstrap migration
- Stripped the hand-rolled toast machinery (~250 lines CSS+JS). All toasts now flow through Bootstrap engines via attributes.
- Added section eyebrow row (4 topic pills + Tag-Cycler).
- Adopted the Bootstrap Stage System for ticker idle/engaged states.
- BG layer wrapped as an independent stage (matches Superhero pattern).
- Down-vote → star-rating bridge: confirm-toast intercepts clicks, so on commit the section temporarily strips the confirm-id and dispatches a synthetic click that bubbles to the Feedback Engine.
Earlier highlights
- v16 — Vote toast placement, click-anywhere dismissal, down-vote opt-in to 5-star rating.
- v15 — Per-line ticker durations, progress bar, two ported toasts.
- v14 — Video reframed as “Why TNT Nerds Exists” (AI-produced promo).
Ingredients consumed from Bootstrap
- Stage System (engine v2.18+): ticker idle/engaged + bg layer.
- Info-Toast (1s viewport-entry delay; v2.21+): play facade, up-vote.
- Exit-Toast (last-second pitch; v2.21+): primary CTA, up-vote.
- Confirm-Toast: primary CTA, down-vote.
- Tag-Cycler pattern: eyebrow row narrow-viewport behavior.
- .tnt-banner + .tnt-info-cta + .tnt-modal + global button tokens.
Section-owned
- Aurora gradient bg + hoist to parent host.
- Per-line ticker durations and progress bar transforms.
- YouTube facade-to-iframe lazy embed.
- Down-vote confirm → star-rating handoff.

About TNT Nerds
The old ways aren’t gone.
They just got harder to find.
Somewhere along the way, customer service stopped meaning service. Bots. Tickets. Auto-replies. Squeaky wheels replaced instead of oiled. Customers treated as replaceable line items. We do not share that methodology.
I started when I was 15 years old. Over three decades later, I’m still doing things the long way — honest, fair, transparent. Through sacrifice and hard work done smart. Earning trust the good old-fashioned way: one conversation, one problem solved, one kept promise at a time.
That’s why our clients entrust us with their core accounts — social media, payment portals, the keys to their business. Some platforms have finally caught up with granular team permissions, but long before that, we were being handed credentials on trust alone. Our reputation for privacy and security has to be second to none, because our clients are trusting us with more than just their tech.
Many became loyal patrons by dealing with us at a distance first — watching us show up, watching us follow through, earning their confidence before we’d ever met face to face. They’ll tell you about us themselves. References aren’t something we dodge — they’re something we offer. Just ask.
“ Seems like the old ways are disappearing. But today, they’re more needed than they’ve ever been.
Yours,

The things people ask us most — written in plain English, without the sales pitch. Don’t see your question? Just ask — we read every message.
What’s included in your Small Business Growth Program?
The Growth Program is full-stack technology management for small businesses. We handle everything under one roof: IT support, web hosting & development, email & office platforms, business phone systems, AI integration, workflow automation, security, data backups, creative & media production, and marketing & community tools. One team, every platform, instead of you juggling a dozen vendors. Phase 1 is capped at 10 clients so every client gets real attention.
Do you replace our current IT person or work alongside them?
Either. Most of our clients bring us in to replace a patchwork of vendors with a single partner. But if you have an in-house tech person or a trusted outside resource, we work alongside them — filling gaps, handling what they can’t, and never stepping on toes. Tell us the situation and we’ll adapt.
How fast do you respond when something breaks?
During business hours (Monday–Sunday, 9am–6pm ET), expect a response within a couple of hours for most issues — often much faster. Critical outages are prioritized. After hours, we handle emergencies for Growth Program clients on a same-day basis whenever possible. No tickets, no call queues — you reach a real person.
Can you help us migrate off [our current vendor/platform]?
Yes — migrations are one of the things we do most. Email, hosting, domain management, CRMs, phone systems, file storage, payroll, accounting tools — if you’re locked into something that isn’t serving you, we’ll plan and execute the move with minimal downtime. Part of onboarding every Growth Program client is a clean-up pass that often saves them more per month than they pay us.
Do you work on Macs, PCs, or both?
Both, plus Linux, Chromebooks, iPhones, iPads, Android devices, smart TVs, printers, routers, and pretty much anything else with a plug. If you own it and it uses electricity and a screen, we can probably help.
Do you come to my house or is it all remote?
Both. In-home visits cover Orlando and surrounding Central Florida communities. For everything else — software issues, account setup, tune-ups, virus cleanup, tech questions — remote support is usually faster and less expensive. We’ll tell you honestly which one fits the problem.
What do you charge for residential tech help?
Residential work is priced per issue, not by the hour — because nobody wants a meter running while their computer reboots. We quote the job up front based on scope, and if it turns out to be simpler or more complex than expected, we’ll tell you. No surprises. Call or email and we’ll give you a real number.
My computer is really old. Is it worth fixing or should I just replace it?
Depends on the machine, the problem, and what you use it for. Sometimes a $50 SSD upgrade makes a 6-year-old laptop feel brand new. Sometimes the motherboard is dying and nothing will save it. We’ll give you an honest assessment — including a straight-up “that one’s done” if that’s the truth. Selling you work you don’t need isn’t how we stay in business.
Are TNT Apps really free? What’s the catch?
The public library apps are genuinely free and open-source — keep them, fork them, modify them, share them. The only real-world cost involved is that some AI-powered apps use third-party services (like OpenAI or Anthropic) that charge usage-based fees directly to you for tokens consumed. We don’t mark that up, we don’t subscribe you to anything, and you can always swap in a different AI provider. TNT itself charges zero subscription fees.
What’s the difference between the library apps and the branded suite?
The public library is open to everyone. The branded suite takes those same apps and rebrands them for each client — same functionality, your logo, your colors, your business info baked in. Every Growth Program client gets the branded suite included with their engagement at no additional cost from us. Fully exclusive custom builds (bespoke apps just for your business) are scoped per client based on need.
Can you build a custom app for my business?
Yes. If you have an idea for a tool, internal app, calculator, customer-facing product, or automation, we’ll scope and build it. Modern stack, AI where it fits, clean code. When it’s done, you own the full codebase, all IP, and every right to modify or redeploy it however you want. No licensing dance, no monthly rent.
What apps are you building first?
Our active development list includes Scam Sniffer (paste a suspicious message, spot a scam), Thumbnail Studio (mini-Photoshop without the learning curve), AI Micro-Games, Study Buddy, Daily Planner, and Expense Tracker. First public releases are coming soon. On the client side we’re already building tools like a Mascot Voice & Podcast Generator, Internal Comms apps, Blog/News Author tools, and AI PDF generators.
You want the passwords to our core accounts. How do we know our data is safe?
Fair question — it’s the one we take most seriously. Our reputation for privacy and security has to be second to none because our clients trust us with more than just tech. We use enterprise password managers with audit trails, we prefer delegated access and team-member roles wherever platforms support them, we use hardware security keys on sensitive accounts, and we never use anything over public WiFi. If a platform doesn’t support granular permissions, we document exactly what credentials we’ve been given, store them encrypted, and rotate them whenever a client asks. You can revoke our access at any time, for any reason, and we’ll help you do it.
Can you provide references from current clients?
Absolutely — references aren’t something we dodge, they’re something we offer. Current Phase 1 clients include Cameron Academy, Elite Animation Academy, RCKC Management, and Smooth Waters Creative, among others. Reach out and we’ll put you in touch with real owners who can tell you what working with us is actually like, unfiltered.
Do you share my data or use it to train anything?
No. We don’t sell data, don’t use client data for AI training, and don’t share anything with advertising networks. Where third-party AI services are involved in apps we build, we use API-level access with data-retention settings configured to respect your privacy (no model training on your inputs), and we disclose exactly which third parties touch your data in every engagement.
What happens to our data if we stop working together?
You own everything, always. If we part ways, we’ll hand over all credentials, transfer ownership of every account and asset, export any data you want in standard formats, and walk your next provider through the handoff if you’d like. No hostage-taking, no “we control the domain so good luck,” no fees for releasing what was already yours.
How much does the Small Business Growth Program cost?
The Growth Program starts at $1,250 one-time startup fee (covers full onboarding, audit, migrations, and your first month of service). After that, the ongoing rate is $500/month at the intro tier — and you can stay at $500/month indefinitely with everything we promised included. There’s an optional $1,250/month full tier for clients who want to unlock deeper partnership and Phase 2 graduation (dedicated team hires, expanded scope). Phase 1 is capped at 10 clients, and current availability is limited.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment?
We do use a simple engagement agreement that spells out what we’re doing, what you’re paying, and what happens if either side wants out — mostly so nobody is confused later. But there’s no lock-in, no auto-escalating pricing, and no penalties for leaving. We earn your business every month, or we don’t deserve it.
How do I know if I’m a good fit for the Growth Program?
The Growth Program is designed for small businesses that are tired of juggling vendors, subscriptions, and systems that don’t talk to each other. If you want one team handling your tech stack end-to-end — and you value real relationships over ticket numbers — we’re probably a fit. If you have a tech stack that’s working fine and you just need occasional help, residential-style per-issue support is a better match. A free consultation sorts it out in 20 minutes.
What’s Phase 2 and when does it happen?
Phase 2 is the next stage of TNT Nerds — where we hire dedicated team members, expand our services, and deepen partnerships with clients who want more than what Phase 1 covers. Graduation is rolling, not cohort-based: individual Phase 1 clients move into Phase 2 on their own timeline based on need and scope. It’s optional — clients are welcome to stay at the intro tier forever.
